Testimonials

“Buying a home is super overwhelming, and of course you’ve got your realtor, but it’s good to have somebody else to talk to. Everyone was super friendly, super easy to work with. I really can’t say enough good things about them.”

—Shaunna

“I am so grateful for the opportunities presented by WWHT, for their support of our community, and for making it better. I wish everyone could know about Windham & Windsor Housing Trust.”

—Dora

“Having this apartment matters for us because we can live our lives the way we want to. The fact that my son is able to have his own room, his own things — we’ve both gained a lot of independence.”

—Jessica

“I couldn’t be more pleased with Windham & Windsor Housing Trust to have the vision to move forward with [the Bellows Falls Garage], and be persistent because that’s a building that no one was ever going to touch and work with.”

—Robert

“[The Green Mountain Home Repair Program is] an extremely important resource for the community, and it’s particularly helpful for people who don’t have fantastic credit. If you can’t qualify for anything, you can’t fix your property…. We are just so grateful to WWHT for this program — it allowed us to stay in our home. We belong here, and we are very happy.”

—Gianna

“I’m so happy to have my own apartment — it was one of my goals. It’s good to have your own place, you can think more about life. If I need help, I know people are here for me. This is a good place for me.”

—Mike

The ruling by Superior Court Judge Thomas S. Durkin states that, “to find that the project is subject to Act 250 jurisdiction…merely because of the presence of a Class III road, would be an irrational and impermissibly strict reading of the statute that stymies the legislature’s intent to encourage mixed income housing in designated areas.” The Judgement Order, issued on Thursday, granted Windham & Windsor Housing...
