Windham & Windsor Housing Trust (WWHT) has a rich history of responding to critical community challenges through innovative housing solutions. Today, over 1,500 local residents reside Windham & Windsor Housing Trust homes throughout the region.
With a mission to serve the needs of citizens who are least served by the prevailing market, WWHT has worked over the years to create a full spectrum of housing opportunities across the county, ranging in size from single-family homes to a 33-unit rental apartment complex, and serving very-low, low- and moderate-income renters and homeowners.
WWHT’s housing portfolio includes: Efficiency apartments, single-room occupancy housing, one- to four-bedroom apartments, a mobile home park, condominiums, single-family homes, elderly housing, housing for formerly homeless mothers with children, service-enriched housing, and special housing for the Deaf, persons with disabilities, the formerly homeless, and persons living with HIV/AIDS. WWHT also operates the HomeOwnership Center, which makes affordable homeownership possible for low-and moderate-income households, and provides low-interest rehabilitation loans to help local homeowners carry out essential health and safety repairs to their homes and property.
